About Eva De Roovere
Eva De Roovere (°1978) is a Belgian singer/songwriter. After studying the clarinet and the violin, she attends theatre school (Studio Herman Teirlinck) and the Jazz Studio Tritonus in Antwerp.
Still in school, she becomes the front singer of the folk rockband Kadril. During her years with Kadril, she performs on almost every folk festival in Europe and she records 3 traditional Flemish folk music CDs.
After winning the prestigious “Leids Cabaret Festival” in 1999 in the Netherlands, she joins the band Oblomow, with which she records 2 world music CDs.
The project “Little Naked Songs” (Kleine Blote Liedjes) – performed only with guitar and voice – brings her a lot of airplay on the Belgian radio.

In 2006, Eva decides to leave her musical friends and starts her own band.
With this band, she tours Belgium, the Netherlands and South-Africa.
She recorded 2 CDs in her own name – “De Jager” (The Hunter) and “Over en Weer” (Back en Forth). “The Hunter” sold over 30,000 albums in 2 years time. She has worked with some of the best Belgian songwriters, and Luka Bloom offered her a song for her first album.
